Bank of America adds AI analysis tools for treasury staff and CashPro clients
The AskGPS Intelligence Hub brings client, account and relationship data together for about 3,000 payments employees, while Payments Insights gives corporate clients analysis of their payment flows.
Bank of America announced on 28 September 2026 two new data analysis tools for its Global Payments Solutions (GPS) business, which handles payments and treasury services for companies.
The first is the AskGPS Intelligence Hub, for internal use. It extends AskGPS, the generative AI assistant introduced in 2025 that nearly 3,000 GPS employees use to search the bank's institutional knowledge. The hub will be released in phases, starting with three functions: intelligent treasury management reviews, which gather client information, relationship activity and account structures in a single document; digital account schematics, which show accounts, liquidity structures, sweeps and relationships with other banks; and relationship insights, which use AI to point out changes in a client's needs, gaps and opportunities.
The second tool, Payments Insights, is for clients. Available inside the CashPro platform, it gives corporate and commercial customers analysis of payment efficiency, cross-border flows and working capital performance on their US accounts. According to PYMNTS, the head of CashPro personalised technologies said that finance teams must move faster while handling large volumes of payment data.
The two tools follow the same logic: the bank already holds the data on its clients' payments and accounts, and uses AI to turn it into analysis for sales staff and for the clients themselves. For relationship managers, a review that used to require collecting data from several systems becomes a generated document; for treasurers, analysis of payment flows arrives inside the bank's own platform instead of separate software.
The announcement adds to the competition among large banks over treasury services, where data analysis is becoming part of the offer. Bank of America did not give figures on the number of CashPro clients that will have access to Payments Insights or on the timing of the later phases of the hub.
