About SectorAtlas

SectorAtlas is an independent market and competitive intelligence platform. It collects, verifies and organises public information on economic sectors, companies and markets worldwide into a structured database, giving decision makers a clear, dated and comparable view of the competitive landscape.

Our mission

Information on companies and markets is scattered across registries, financial statements, press releases, corporate websites and trade press, often in different languages and with inconsistent criteria. SectorAtlas brings it together in a single, consistent and searchable model.

Our goal is to let entrepreneurs, investors, consultants and analysts understand in minutes who operates in a sector, where, at what scale and with what prospects, before committing time and capital.

What you find in the portal

  • Sector profiles: scope, barriers to entry, key trends and regulatory framework.
  • Company profiles: activities, products, customers, business model, geographic and language footprint, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Financial and operating data with history: revenue, profitability, employees, capacity and other metrics, each with its reference period.
  • Ownership and governance: shareholders, parent companies and subsidiaries, management and boards.
  • Corporate transactions and funding: acquisitions, mergers, stake sales, stock market listings and investment rounds.
  • Competitive landscape: documented competitors and competitors identified by our affinity model.
  • Market signals: regulatory, technological and financial developments with a potential impact on sectors.

Methodology

Data comes from public, verifiable sources: official documents and company registries, corporate websites, business and trade press. Each piece of information is reviewed, summarised by our team and linked to the period it refers to, so that its evolution can be followed over time.

The database follows international ISO standards for countries, languages, currencies, dates and periods, and is available in English, Italian, Spanish and French. Semantic search finds related sectors and companies even when they are described with different words or in another language.

Research areas are expanded progressively, starting from the sectors with the highest growth and interest.
